Summer habits for healthy hormones

It is almost Summer! Sun is out, a warm breeze hugs your skin and it is the perfect time to show your hormones some love. I remember when I was young, all through out my teen years, I underestimated the beauty of the sun hitting my bedroom window and the benefits of going outside for walks. Oh how I wish I knew how much my body needed it. I suffered of severe anxiety, stress and mood swings for years.  My hormones were completely unbalanced and I know a lot of things contributed to this. It took me a while to learn how to balance them correctly and find out what really works.

I want to share three huge things that truly help and why!

Morning Walks

Taking morning sun walks is and feels amazing. I notice such a difference when I do. I highly recommend morning hours when is not as hot outside. Walking 30, 45 minutes outdoors where you can see the green trees the colorful flowers and the bright blue skies will definitely give you that natural energy you need. It will automatically and naturally lessen you stress, anxiety and improve you mood. A more relaxed body and mind means happy hormones for sure!

Eating Juicy Fruits

Next, I would definitely say eating fresh, juicy fruits. Eat watermelon, oranges, mangos, pineapple and honestly any fruits that make your heart happy! If you are like me and love sweets and desserts, eating juicy and refreshing fruits instead of the cake or ice cream sundaes will not only help your body balance your hormones more effectively but also help your gut in SO many different ways.

Staying Hydrated

Lastly stay super hydrated! We all know this one but I still wanted to mention it because trust me when I say I can tell a huge difference when I do hydrate correctly. No random headaches or fatigue, clear skin, clear mind and more energy therefore happy body. Yes please!

These are only a few of my favorite and very effective healthy habits for happy hormones I’ve been trying my best to keep and will continue to practice this summer!
