Nurturing your mental health

There are days where we are just not having it! We’ve all been there once or twice and let’s be real, it is impossible to always feel our best so here are some major, crucial and key ingredients to make those days a little better or minimize those types of emotions drastically. For the past year I’ve been practicing and prioritizing these tips and tricks and believe me when I say they work! I have significantly noticed changes in my mood, energy and my anxieties have lessened so much. I truly believe I am genuinely happier and much more at peace with my emotions now!

5 Must Dos for you Mental Health

  • Prioritize sleep (8-9 hours).
  • Sunlight earlier in the day, maybe an outdoor morning walk.
  • Practice gratitude. Staying mindful about what you are grateful for will help you stay positive.
  • Move your body and make time, 30-60 min, for intentional movement. It is the true medicine for our nervous system!
  • Eat a well and balanced diet. Being too restrictive or being too careless about what we put in our bodies will have an impact so incorporate more whole foods or eat a hearty breakfast. However, if you are craving that ice cream cone, go get you one!
