The perfect summer getaway…

Are you looking for a fun, summer getaway where you can enjoy the beach, some shopping, good food and gorgeous sunsets? Let me tell you about these little gems we absolutely loved!

My family and I found ourselves visiting Florida for a couple of years in a row – it was our thing, I guess! Last May, we decided to book our stay between two beaches, Santa Rosa Beach and Rosemary Beach, both incredibly beautiful! We rented an Airbnb on The Big Chill 30A, a vibrant community only a short drive away from these gorgeous beaches.

I’ll start by saying if you have children, this is a super fun area to stay in. You will only need to do a short walk towards the main restaurants, food trucks and common area where they have a big screen, chairs and they play movies. You will find cool shops all around like a Build-A- Bear shop and other super cute boutiques. The place was so clean and spacious, so even if there was a crowd you might not even feel it!

We chose to visit Santa Rosa Central Square for a fun and relaxed stroll. This place is about a 20 minute drive from The Big Chill 30A. We did some shopping, grabbed some ice cream and a yummy lunch on the way. The place was beautiful and had nice chairs all around to just sit and enjoy the beautiful palm trees and warm breeze. After that nice stop we decided to go to this gorgeous patio restaurant called Old Florida Fish House for a nice dinner. Their food and drinks were good and their dessert even better! They had pretty little lights and beautiful plants all over. Perfect for a romantic dinner date.

The second place we decided to go visit, I must say, was my favorite stop! I had never seen or heard of this specific beach before. Rosemary Beach was very different than other Florida beaches we’ve visited. It had so many beautiful shops, picturesque buildings, beautifully designed homes and a private beach that made me feel like I was in French land. The outside dining along the streets and people riding their bikes through these beautiful alleys was just so charming. They had a delicious spot called Playa Bowls with delicious açaí bowls, pitaya bowls and all kinds of smoothies. My dream spot to be honest!

Their beautiful private beach will give you all the French feels with their pretty set up and umbrellas. Personally, I was in love with their white and colorful buildings. Perfect for pretty pictures and gorgeous views as you walk around. I would say it is a kid friendly place but also perfect for a sweet time with your partner watching the sunset by the beach or eating at one of their beautiful outdoor restaurants.

This roadtrip was definitely one for the books. I hope we get to visit again soon!
