The New Wellness: Less Hustle, More Balance

Before I dive into this, I know being able to slow down and take moments for ourselves is a luxury for many, those really busy stay at home mommas, the working moms, the childfree but working girlies that have long to-do list. But I believe everyone deserves to take care of themselves in order to be able to continue doing what they love, whatever that may be. Wellness isn’t about waking up at 5 a.m. to chug green juice and crush a 90-minute workout anymore (unless that’s your vibe). The new wellness is softer, slower, and deeply personal.

It’s about protecting your peace like your life depends on it. And it might just depend on it sometimes! It’s about listening to your body—eating nourishing food, yes, but also allowing the cookie without guilt. It’s syncing with your natural rhythm, lighting a candle (a non toxic one), putting your phone on Do Not Disturb, and making rest your ritual—not your reward.

Soft life habits we’re loving right now:

• ✨ Morning sunlight before screen time: This could be hard when we are used to waking up checking emails, socials and what not, but trust me on this one! Morning sun light is extremely healing and if you make it a priority IT WILL make a huge difference in your life.

• 🌿 Swapping toxic overload for low- tox living: Over the years I’ve been slowly turning my home into a low tox oasis because it’s home, our safe space, where we sleep and repair. It deserves the best care! And if I could do it YOU can too! You can try slowly switching the most toxic items first, like cleaning supplies, cookware and personal care products that you put directly on yours and your families skin every single day.

• 🧘🏼‍♀️ Cycle syncing for better energy & mood: This one has been a big one for me. Listening to your body and working with it not against it will give you the best glow up you can get! I love using a girl app that tells me where in my cycle I am and follow the recommendations it gives me for those specific days. It has actually become a very fun part of my daily routine!

• 📵 Digital detox hours (especially before bed): In order to have a good night sleep and our bodies to do what they need to do while we sleep is important to allow our bodies to do their natural process BEFORE we even go to bed! That’s right, our bodies start getting ready for night as early as the morning when we get that MORNING SUNLIGHT we spoke about earlier. It helps lower cortisol and allows melatonin production by the evening. In order to allow that process to happen we must limit blue light in the evenings. We can ether stop using every screen OR get yourself some very handy red lens glasses to wear for the evening! They work wonders! I recommend to also set all lights in your home to red and dimmed for an even better melatonin production.

• 🍵 Calming drinks over store bought energy drinks: Our bodies are so beautifully created that they will immediately respond to what we give them. Here are some calming but super beneficial drinks you can have ether morning or night for better mood, stress management and natural energy.

Peppermint Tea🍃

Main Benefits: Soothes digestive issues (bloating, gas, indigestion), Relieves headaches and migraines, freshens breath, calms muscle tension and it may improve focus and alertness

Ashwagandha Tea 🌿

Main Benefits: Reduces stress and anxiety (adaptogenic effect), balances cortisol levels, it may improve sleep quality, support hormonal balance and boost energy and endurance

Chamomile Tea🌼

Main Benefits: Promotes relaxation and better sleep, eases anxiety and nervous tension, soothes stomach discomfort, supports skin health (anti-inflammatory) and it may help with menstrual cramps

Ginger + Lemon Tea 🍋

Wellness isn’t a checklist—it’s a lifestyle shift toward ease. And here’s your reminder: the soft life is still productive. It’s just done with more intention and a little more glow.✨
